weight loss? okay, so I know almost everything there is to know about losing weight effectively. I love to give advice to people on how to lose weight. Am I in good shape? Hellz no! I am 50 lbs overweight and 21 years old in college. I know all this stuff about losing weight, yet I cannot apply to myself. Why am I not strong enough to do this? I can barely resist eating. I love food so much. Taco bell, pizza, quesadillas, hot pockets, cola, the list goes on. I am addicted to food, I eat when I'm not hungry because I crave the taste of it. I have asked for the strength to resist these temptations but to no avail. It seems hopeless that I will ever be average weight. I dont' need weight loss advice per se...I need ways to become strong enough to resist my strongest temptations...any suggestions? I should mention that I do get up off my butt and try to stay active, I'm not that lazy, it's just that the amount of calories I am able to consumer is far more I can burn off at my activity level, in the shape I am in, I can't do extremely heavy workouts, in fact running hurts my legs, any kind of weight training will deal a lot of pain, right now, I basically try to walk a lot, because it's basicall what I can do right now without noticing bad side effects.

I am starting a weight loss competition in my family, whats the best way to measure progress? I wanted to start a weight loss competition this summer in my family, but I wanted it to be fair. For example its probably easier for my 260 pound brother to lose a pound than my 160 pound mom. So whats is the best way to compare? Should it just be percentage of mass? Should fat be considered? Should i buy a body fat analyzer? Because i guess if someone lost 10 pounds of fat and gained 3 pounds of muscle, wouldn't that be better than someone else who just lost 9 pounds of fat? Confusion about weight loss? How is it possible to have permanent weight loss if dieting slows down metabolism well, i know that eating less will have the body adjust to the new calorie intake and thus, no further weight loss. How do you know the best form of weight loss for yourself versus others? I am 31 years old. I have two kids and have gained excessive weight after both of them. I had a cessarian with the first and natural with the second. I'm pear shaped so it's mostly in my hips and buttocks. How effective is cocaine for weight loss? Don't automatically assume that I'm referring to myself and come off sounding ignorant and full or prejudice. Over the course of several months, how effective is weight loss if small doses of cocaine are taken every other week combined with exercise? And, what weight does it tend to target first? (fat located on the stomach, thighs etc) I highly doubt you'll lose 3 pounds from your head, as the human head weighs 8 pounds total and there's no weigh to lose that much unless you get a lobotomy. What weight loss supplements would you suggest? I've decided to lose about 50 lbs by the time the summer is over and so far I'm making great progress. I started my diet a little over a month ago and have already lost 14 lbs. I joined the gym. I go at least 4 times a week. Usually every day though unless another plan interrupts my schedule. I am watching what I eat. I have cut my calories significantly and even started keeping a food diary, in which i also keep track of my exercise. I bought a pedometer and count me steps, basically I've improved my way tremendously since the year started. My question now is in regards to those infamous "weight loss pills". I would like to add something to increase my energy, boost my metabolism, and just speed up the process. I am kind of in a hurry because I am planning a vacation and would like to possibly complete this before my initial plan. But how can you trust anything out there, really? Has anyone taken anything that they were satisfied with? Or does anybody have any tips in general? I tried the Slimquick, I even tried TrimSpa, but stopped taking them soon after. Trimspa still sits in my closet i took like 4 of them. Slimquick i used a whole bottle of, bought another one, went through half and then stopped because i wasn't sure if they would interact with medications that i started taking at the time. I can say i was pretty satisfied with the results slimquick gave me. Still I would like to see what other options I have. The cost is also a concern, simply because I'm not rich and can't afford to spend $100/month on weight loss pills. A friend of mine [body builder] swears by Hydroxycut. But not many other people I talked to recommended it, so any suggestions?
